The Bentley Bentayga has already received a heaping of praise since it’s debut almost two years ago. Now Wards Auto has named the Bentayga to its list of 10 Best Interiors of 2017.
The editorial staff at Wards evaluated more than 30 new vehicles. The judges were looking at aesthetics and design as well as materials, ergonomics, safety, comfort, overall value and fit-and-finish.
Wards says they choose to recognize the Bentayga because it’s high quality of workmanship and materials. Bentley says much of the interior receives a handcrafted touch. More than 130 hours go into each SUV’s interior finishes including a high level of detailed finish into the leather and wood work.
About the Bentayga, Tom Murphy, Senior Editor at WardsAuto, said, “Its lavish and functional interior suggests the British automaker unleashed its best designers to integrate ideas and themes they had been pondering for years. The interior’s most striking feature is its luscious burnt orange leather, marketed under the name Newmarket Tan, with diamond stitching to resemble the quilted shoulder of a British shooting jacket.”
