The Goodwood Festival of Speed begin this week in England and Bentley will be there with it full 2017 lineup. The famous festival brings participants from around the world to take their shot at the Goodwood hill climb.
Bentley has announced that none other than legendary driver Derek Bell, will be piloting the 2017 Bentley Bentayga on the course. Bell is considered a Bentley Boy and has been involved in testing products including the Bentayga during its development.
Bentley will also enter a 2017 Bentley Flying Spur V8S in the hill climb. For the first time, an S model is available for the Flying Spur. The performance oriented trim gives the Spur more power, a lower ride height and stiffer suspension.
The 2017 Continental GT Speed will be on display along with the new Mulsanne. The Speed gets more power for 2017, while the Mulsanne has been completely refreshed with a throwback, vertical vane grille that gives the car a bold look.
Bentley Motor’s own 4 ½ Litre Blower Bentley will be back on display at Goodwood, joining its modern-day brethren. The car, which was driven by Tim Birkin to a win at Le Mans back in the day, will be driven up the hill. Joining the Blower Bentley will be Bentley’s modern racecar, the Continental GT3.
Also of note is that on Friday, June 24th, the Continental GTC that Sir Peter Black styled, will go to auction to benefit the Care2Save Charitable Trust. The Trust promotes the development and growth of supportive, palliative and hospice care around the world.
