Bentley has initiated a voluntary recall on 27,640 Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur vehicles. The cars impacted were built between Februaary 2011 and June 2014. Bentley says the move is precautionary to prevent a rare condition where a batter cable joint could become loose where it passes through the front bulkhead.
To fix the issue, Bentley dealers will replace the components at no cost to owners with a new connection system. Bentley was quick to point out the this recall is voluntary and not connected in any way to any other recalls from other manufacturers. The recall does not the Mulsanne or any Continentals made after June 2014.
