Bentley has signed another team to its motorsport program.  Bentley Team ABT Sportsline will campaign a fleet of Continental GT3s in the ADAC GT Masters and Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2016.  This follows news that HTP Motorsport has switched from Bentley to Mercedes for the 2016 year.

ABT Sportsline will fill the void left by HTP’s departure and campaign two cars in the ADAC GT Masters.  The team will also enter two cars in the Nürburgring 24 Hours with factory support.  It is expected that Bentley will also have two Works cars there for an impressive team of 4 Continentals.

“We are pleased to welcome ABT Sportsline into the Bentley fold,” said Bentley’s Brian Gush.  “Like Bentley, it has a very long and rich heritage in motorsport and we both strive to achieve success at the highest level.”

ABT Sportsline brings an impressive resume including multiple DTM Championship titles as well as numerous GT and Formula E wins.  Bentley Team ABT will run jointly with C.Abt Racing, which has two GT Masters titles to their name.

“We believe we have the experience and credentials to deliver the results for Bentley Motorsport in Germany that will have an impact globally,” said ABT Sportsline’s CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt.

The team gets underway with Bentley’s fast coupe at VLN1 at the ‘ring on April 2nd, 2016.  Subscribe to our site to follow their progress this season.
