Pantone, the company the tracks color, announced their 2016 color of the year. For the first time, the color of the year is actually the colors of the year. The paint colors are Rose Quartz (Pantone 13-1520) and Serenity (Pantone 15-3919) and the company says they chose two colors because they are some complementary and are always used together.
Bentley Frankfurt commissioned two Continentals in the matching colors. The cars were done in collaboration with Pantone to celebrate the reopening of the Frankfurt Bentley store.
According to the Pantone, when mixed together these hues “challenge traditional perceptions of color association (…) this more unilateral approach to color is coinciding with societal movements towards gender equality and fluidity, and a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged.” All we know is when applied to complementary Continental GT’s, they look fantastic!
